Stacy Wyatt, Founder & Creative Director, is the visionary behind Canadian Special Events. Her pioneering work has significantly shaped the Canadian event landscape, creating the country’s most vibrant and engaged community of event professionals.

Beginning her journey managing large-scale events and incentives for Canadian DMOs, Stacy’s extensive work with an elite Pan-Asian clientele across Australia, Hawaii, and Japan honed her expertise in technical production and event design. This global experience established her as a senior-level Event Producer with a comprehensive skill set.

Driven by a passion for writing and a dream of owning a magazine, Stacy leveraged her event management experience to launch Canadian Special Events. What started as a blog and boutique event show has evolved into a leading brand, including the Canadian Event Awards, CSE Live, CSE Magazine, and an award-winning blog. While building CSE, she concurrently held the role of Director of Events at UM, where, as a member of the leadership team, she supported an extensive portfolio encompassing institutional, Alumni, Advancement and Marketing events. While at UM, Stacy led the strategic development and execution of events for the 500M capital campaign and produced over 900 events during her tenure.

A respected industry leader, Stacy’s contributions, from her presidency at ILEA to mentoring at Seneca College, showcase her commitment to elevating the event planning profession. Her work has been recognized with the Senecan of Distinction award, seven Special Event Awards, and multiple accolades from CCAE and CASE. She has been named one of Canada’s top event professionals by BizBash and nominated as a leading influencer in events by EventEx.
