Stacy’s journey began managing large-scale events and incentives for Canadian DMOs, where she honed her expertise in technical production and event design while working with an elite Pan-Asian clientele across Australia, Hawaii, and Japan. These high-profile projects established her as a senior-level producer with a comprehensive skill set. At the University of Manitoba (UM), Stacy served as Director of Events, leading a high-impact team in the development and execution of over 900 institutional, alumni, advancement, and marketing events, including strategic programming for the five-year, $500M capital campaign.
Driven by her passion for design, storytelling, and live experiences, Stacy founded Canadian Special Events. What started as a simple blog has evolved into a thriving community of 60,000 Canadian event professionals, encompassing the Canadian Event Awards, CSE Live, EventFest, CSE Magazine, and the Canadian Venue Awards.
A respected industry leader, Stacy gives back through participating in community initiatives, supporting local non-profits and her student mentorship at Seneca College. Her achievements have been recognized with the Senecan of Distinction award, seven Special Event Awards, and accolades from CCAE and CASE. Named one of Canada’s top event professionals by BizBash, she has also been recognized as a leading influencer by EventEx.
