The Canadian Event Industry Awards are the hallmark of achievement in the Canadian event and meeting industry. The program was established in 1997 as a platform for event and meeting professionals from each major discipline of the industry to be recognized and celebrated for their talent, hard work and success. It is designed for companies interested in showcasing their work and competing for top honours at a national level.
Since its inception, over 840 Canadian professionals have been recognized for their achievements in events and the competition has become a globally recognized symbol of excellence, as well as a powerful launching pad for companies looking to establish themselves in a competitive marketplace.
The 2019 national competition has now closed for entries. Winners will be announced live on March 28, 2019 in Toronto at the CEIA Awards Gala.
Who Can Enter?
Any Canadian company or individual who qualifies for the specified category criteria with their event or event component may enter. Also, Canadians who produce events outside of Canada may enter, as long as their company resides in Canada.
All events need to have taken place between January 1, and December 31 of the preceding year. All entries must follow the guidelines laid out in the Rules & Guidelines page. There are two awards which cannot be entered but are chosen by the advisory council. They are Spirit of the Industry and Emerging Leader. For these two awards, suggestions for nominations can be submitted to Canadian Special Events Magazine by email during the entry period.
